Our sweet senior, Ruby, needs your help. In addition to desperately wanting a foster home for her, we are seeking sponsors for this special girl. Donations of any amount will help defray the veterinary bills Ruby has incurred since GRRSWF saved her from a kill shelter in early October.

Ruby, who is estimated to be about 12 years old, has a sweet temperament and a strong will to live. She has come a long way since we got her, learning to walk again and gaining some badly needed weight. When she came from the shelter, Ruby was barely able to lift her head. Weak, emaciated and in pain, she could not walk because her dysplastic hips hurt so much. Her tail was still wagging, though, and she gave the volunteer who saved her the classic golden smile.

She is still frail, but we are seeing a steady improvement. Ruby is hard of hearing due to years of neglect. This bothers her not in the least. She just wants to be with people and is a kind and gentle soul.

We want to give Ruby a chance to enjoy her golden years. With your help, we can do so.
