Introducing GRRSWF’s New Programs

Seniors for Seniors

This program offers adopters over the age of 65 a 50% discount to the adoption donation when they adopt a dog aged nine and older. Adopters will also receive a start-up kit (collar & leash, bowls and a toy) courtesy of PetCo®; GRRSWF will provide heartworm and flea/tick preventatives for one month; several of our wonderful network veterinarians are offering discounted rates on the first office visit* for dogs adopted under the Seniors for Seniors Program; and GRRSWF trainer and behaviorist Lexi Hayden is offering significantly discounted rates for personal consultations.

* Discount applies to fee for office visit only, not for any additional charges. All of our dogs are healthy at the time of adoption and the first visit is intended as an introductory meeting, a chance to say hello without needles or thermometers coming into play, and an opportunity for the new adopter to ask any medical questions.

Golden Angels

Our Golden Angels  Program pairs 'dog-less' humans with Goldens who are hospitalized or being boarded while they await foster homes.  To get involved, please fill out a foster application, located here

Golden Years

GRRSWF partners with several Golden breeders to re-home their breeding dogs when they need to be retired. Our first official Golden Years dog is the lovely Daisy Belle, currently available for adoption.
