Golden Retriever Rescue of Southwest Florida is sponsoring a 2011 Golden Retriever Calendar as a fund raising project. As part of the development of that calendar we are holding our 1st Annual Photo Contest. We are inviting all our friends to participate. The contest will decide which Goldens will be featured in our calendar. Your Golden could be a lucky winner! The Grand Prize Winner will be on the cover. So get your camera and start photographing those wonderful Goldens'. We look forward to seeing your beautiful pictures and featuring the best in our upcoming calendar.
Submission Guidelines:
General:
- $5 per photo entry fee; no limit to number of photos you can submit!
- 12 monthly and 12 Honorable Mention winners will have their pictures used in the calendar and will have their photo credited to them. All winners receive a free calendar. Additionally, some photos may be featured as Photo of the Month in our Newsletter.
- Golden Retrievers and Golden Mixes only may be submitted; they don't have to be GRRSWF or Rescue dogs.
- Horizontal shots only.
- The photo must have been taken by you; you can't submit photos taken by someone else.
For Digital Images:
Set your camera at the HIGHEST resolution possible (photos will be enlarged to 8.5"x11"). Please send original digital files (.tif or .jpg file format) either on CD or via email as attachments, and include your name, phone number, address, and your dog's name. Please don't make the file smaller to email - send the original largest file. Email digital photos to photocontest@grrswf.org. You will receive a confirmation of your entry within 48 hours; if you don't receive one, assume it didn't go through and resend.
For Photo Prints:
Please put a label on the back with your name, dog's name, address and phone number (don't write directly on the print!). 4x6 minimum size. Please do not scan in your prints yourself - mail in the prints. If you want your print returned, please include a self-addressed stamped return envelope.

Photos will be judged by a panel selected by the GRRSWF Board and all photographers will remain anonymous to the judges.

Calendars will be available in early Fall, 2010
